morning light

As I was going to clinics this morning I was stopped at a red light and saw it.  It was too pretty to not take the photo.  I took 2 shots and was going to take another when I heard the car behind me honk their horn because the light turned green.  I guess they needed to get to work or something.  But can you see the sunlight on the cross?

dead pine tree

Coming home from the newest Clinic sight I was wondering what I was going to take a picture of.  I look over to my left and see this dead pine tree, pretty cool.  Yes I like to take photos of trees, dead or alive they are so neat to photography.

just hanging

 Not sure what this means but it's kind of cool.  I was talking ~long distances~ to my Uncle when I walked in to the room and saw this.  I stopped talking and said I was going to use this for my photo of the day.  It's hanging by a needle from my sewing stuff.  As soon as T got home she took it down and made more Tower Power, minus the needles.  LOL

 I have lots of craft stuff and my darling daughters like to go through my stuff and play with the stuff they found.  They found some of my little wooden crafty things.  I guess it's a good thing that I got this stuff years ago and it wasn't my sewing and fabric that they got into.  Makes a really cool pix in B&W.

T wanted me to take her picture this day, do you love it when people want to get their photo taken and then smile and act cute for the camera?  How come more adults don't do that?  I know I have a hard time getting my photo taken.  Anywhoo, Isn't she a cutie....yes, I know I'm biases they're my kiddos.

I was thinking about something to photograph around the house I thought my cows in the kitchen was a good idea I took a few but they didn't really come out the way I wanted, but I decided that it's okay I'll use one.  Later on while we eating Oreos Edd smiled at me than pucker her lips.  Too cute, so I'm going to use both pictures.  Tell me which one you like better.

shh..it's okay

Here I go again, I'm going to try and see if I can do this right.  It not a photo I took today, but for the photo challenge on I faces that I took in the last week or so.  It's T and her nephew Henry.  She just loves to hold him when her big sister ~Henry's momma~ will put him down.  He started crying soon after he was placed in her lap.  It's so sweet she is whispering, "Shhh...shhh...Henry it's okay, I got you."  Can't you just hear it?

lost another

Edd lost another tooth.  Boy it was drama trying to get that thing out.  We were on the way to go out to eat when she showed me her loose tooth.  I was NOT going to go out to dinner with her as she played with it in her month and then have it come out.  Oh no!  We tried and tried for 30 minutes to get her to open her mouth and take it out....what an ordeal!  finally hubby said enough was enough and put the time on and if she didn't get it out herself then he was going to pull it out!!!  I sat her down and told her to give me her finger and open her mouth.  I took her finger and push it on the tooth making it go back then I made her pull it forward.  Wal-la it came out with a choke.  No more hanging tooth.  Oh and dinner was good!  LOL 

I made it in faded colors so it didn't look so gross.

lamp post

try to take this photo without a flash, yes shooting in the dark again.  Every time I took it I got this stream of light coming out of the lamp post, but this is the only one that has a cool little light dot under it.

baby announcements

The announcements need to get out and into the mail so people know.  Her grace period is almost up.  Beautiful cards made by her aunt to tell the world ~family and friends~ about her beautiful baby boy, born 13 Dec 2010.

I had this idea for taking this photo as my daughters where making necklaces the other day.  It's been rolling around in my head all day.  I decided to put it together and see what I came up with.  I think it's neat, I like the way the colors blend together and see the word "IF" in the goddess that just gives a little more mystery in the way life is.

T loves to play on my iPad and because of that I've put a lot of kids friendly stuff for her ~there's an app for that~ right here she's doing one of her favorites Draw Pad and hanging out with her teddy bear.

another from my backwindows.

Since it's too cold for me to go outside, it doesn't mean that I don't like looking out at the cold.  I love how winter doesn't feel so dead tome me like it does for other people.  There is always movement and life outside even with it too cold for me to go outside.  This was taken in the morning, doesn't it just say life with the way the shadows lay across the snow full of dog tracks.

backyard birds

These are taken from my back window, it's just too cold for me to be outside.  I love the look of cardinals in the winter.  The bright red in the gray-brown trees without leaves with snow to make them stand out more.  The puffed up feathers to stay warm I bet they dream of summer too when it's this cold.

prettier the day before

It it was so much prettier the day before, then it was this day.  It looked like a winter wonderland and today it just looks cold and icky.  When it starts to melt it doesn't have the same look as when you first see it.

cold tootsies

So the weather has been very weird lately.  We've had more then 10 inches of snow since Christmas eve.  WOW that's crazy for north Georgia.  Crazy, but great for kiddos.  Edd loved it she couldn't wait to get out in it.  That is until she got out in it.  LOL  As you can see with this pix if you go out in the snow without shoes and socks your tootsies get cold pretty darn fast!

Put her Cat costume on from Halloween and wanted me to take her photo.  MEOW!!  She was my model do all sort of posses, here are the 2 best.  All my kids love getting their photo taken, good thing with their momma always having a camera in their faces.  LOL

Love this photo! she looks like she has crazy eyes, doesn't help that the picture is a bit out of focus making her look that much crazier.  Really Edd's just playing peek-a-boo with me.  LOL

art-y fart-y photo

Just was messing around with my camera taking photos of Edd.  This one came out nice with a very art-y fart-y feel to it, only had to do a little photo-shopping with the color to give it a sepia look.  It's good to have such a will model who doesn't care when I shove a camera in her face....we'll see how it in in a few years.  LOL  But the joy of getting your picture taken hasn't worn off yet.

look up in the sky

Have I say it before; only dreamers and artists ever look up?  When was the last time you took a look at the sky?  for me it's just about everyday, not to see what the weather is doing or wonder why but to also to take deep breathe and feel my lungs with the wonder of the world.  I did just this as I came home and noticed how pretty they sky looked just before sunset.

Welcome to Ball Gound

This is probable my last photo on 372 for awhile.  (I'm no longer driving up to Jasper GA anymore, kind of a bittersweet thing but oh well, life goes on.)  Anyways it took me over a month before I even saw this sign for Ball Ground Ga, it was in the summer and it's kind of hidden on the side of the road and there are all sort of trees around it.  You can see it more in the winter when the trees are bare IF you know were to look.

T and old school marbleworks

The great thing about being a pack rat (or someone who keeps special toys for years in the hope that you can use them again).  I had this toy when my older kids were little and kept it because I thought it was a great toy and maybe I could use it another time...well the time has come again.  T loves it and asks for marbles to play with it all the time.

Chomper-butt

Chomper-butt.  She really is a sweet dog, she's just stupid.  Her name really does fit her too, she is always looking to chomp on something, but it seems to be the wrong things, stuff animals, baby dolls, little people toys, everything she's not suppose to chomp on.  Yep, this is after she got yelled at for chomping on something she wasn't suppose to.

Catching snowflakes

it's all about time

I wanted to us this as my first photo of the new year, but since I still had my Christmas the snowmen on my mantel so I needed to wait until today before I could take this picture.  I really like the way it turned out.  Makes you think about how time moves faster from year to year as we get older.

First day of the new year and yes it's baby Henry again.  It's only the first day of the year but I really hope you're not tired of seeing the little one.  It'll be so cool to document his growth over the next year.  Being only 2 1/2 weeks old he doesn't do much more then eat, sleep and poop.  ;-P
