Don't think this really needs more then the title.  It's just a cold.  But, I remember as a kid that my mom would give us Vernors when we were sick, so I had to buy Edd some too.  My poor sick kiddo.

feed the birds

The coolest thing about having a early spring is the birds are all around.  The sad thing is that with the really cold weather we've been having the ground is frozen and they can't get to the worms.  I feed the birds stale bread, chips and popcorn.  And this morning it most have been really cold because they were all over my table fighting for the food.....that is until T opened the door to let the cat out.  Boy was her tail twitching before going out.  After she went out no more bird.

whole hand today.

Edd is a whole hand today.  I can't believe she's five.  5 years ago I gave birth to my rainbow baby.  If you don't know what a rainbow baby is, it's a baby born after have a baby die.  And that is what my she's my special little one.  She was born at 7:05 pm, but even before holding her in my arms for the first time she had my heart.

Didn't know what to take a picture of today.  Brought my camera with me but just didn't want to bring it out.  I had to go get it from my car and saw the moon.  What the hell.

Kids and gummy bears just go together.  I needed to pick up some medicine for T and because they good I got them some gummy bears.  I took a few photos of Edd eating and playing with them, T on the other hand wouldn't have anything to do with taking a picture.  She ran away when I asked her to say cheese.  This is my favorite and the one that I had in mind when I came up with the idea.

before bed

Tonight before bed Poppa and Edd had a father/daughter moment.  Edd loves to watch hubby play his computer game.  She likes it even more when she can tell him what the character do or go.  This is their special time together.  What T does is she'll make herself a little nest and cuddle under blankets and watch her favorite "Go Diego Go."  Today T is catching a cold and has a yucky nose.  When I went to take their photos they didn't even know that I was there.  Some days I love it, it gives me a break before I get them in their jammie, brush their teeth, wash their faces and read them their bedtime story.

pink tutus

Today I told my daughter E to get ready for dance class, and she told me she didn't want to go to dance class any more, she quit.  "I quit momma, I don't want to do it anymore."  WHAT!  "Oh no you don't, I don't think so! I didn't spend all this money for you to quit and today you will be getting your costume....so YOU are going!"  That's what I told her.   I wasn't sure if they were going the costumes or not, but I am sure glad was right .  They got their costumes today pretty pink tutus and they are *P-I-N-K!*.  You will be able to see them from the back row with these things on.  They are bright.  On a whin I brought my camera with me.  I'm so glad I did.  I love the way they are all lined up in their costumes like pink flowers in a garden in this photo.  I can't wait for the day when they get up on stage to dance.  I'm pretty sure that I'm going to be one proud momma.

My sister L

And now for sister-L!  I really do love all my sisters.  Lisa likes taking our kiddos for us to let us sleep when she's visiting us or we're visiting her.  How nice it is to be able to sleep in.  I got to, but not because of her, my hubby was the one who woke up with T.  But Lisa let our sister-B sleep in by taking B's son.  This is what I came down to, her on the couch covered up to her chin, with her ipod on and in her ears, her phone next to her and a tissue for just in case...she was only "resting her eyes" as she was watching the kiddos.  To be fair the kiddos where playing quietly on the floor or watching TV near her.  I think I woke her up when I took the picture.  Good morning sunshine!

my sister B

I know it's a day late in posting Feb 20 photo, but I was studying for my algebra test yesterday and forgot all about it until after midnight when I finished my test.

I love my sisters!  Especially when one want to rake my backyard.  I have a pretty big backyard and because of all the rain we had last summer & fall there just wasn't enough dry days in a row get it done in.  And for some reason sister-B wanted to rake it while she was visiting me.  I guess living in Texas for a few years then moving to California and living there will do that someone who grew up *having to* rake leaves every fall.  LOL  I had my camera and was snapping photos of our kids when I called to her, she looked at me, made a funny face and lifted her leg.  I had to take it and because I love my sister, it's my photo of the day. ;-)~

3 peas in a pod

Oldest to youngest, darkest to lightest, tallest to shortest or even a couple patterns; girl, boy, girl or blue, brown, blue. Three little ones sitting on the couch.  And what do you do when 3 kiddos each need a nap and none will take one?  You put a movie in and watch them zone out.  I love this you and almost count how the seconds until they fall asleep....and then you would be wrong.  Nope, no napping house here.  After the movie they got up and played.  They even stayed up later today.  Lets hope they sleep in a bit tomorrow.

toes and jam

I love babies toes and after that is little kids toes.  I think they look so cute.  Two of my sisters are visiting and one nephew so I got my youngest 2 and my nephew together just before bed to take photos of their toes.  I made them take off their socks, sit in a circle on chairs to take them.
I should have check their toes before taking the photos.  As I was looking at the pictures I notice that they had some jam between the toes.  mmmmm-yum!  LOL But, what the heck they're already in bed and I didn't want to think of something else to shot so here you go ~toes and jam!

bus terminal

A good friend of mine was in a bind   She had another friend :-? that flaked out on her so she called me for help.  She need a way to get to the bus terminal because she needed to get to a different city and state to go to court.   Her other friend was suppose to drive her, but well I guess if you start drinking at 9 am it gives you a "tension headache" and you need to lay down for awhile.  Ya right....ah okay...I would call it "sleeping it off"...but well.....anyway, my friend called me at 2:30 saying she needed help. She needed to leave now to get there for her court date on Friday.  We tried to get her to a different station for a 4:30 bus, but we didn't have enough time. We found a bus leaving at 10:15 pm. This is the picture of the bus station, very small and hard to fine.  I know it will work out, but it makes me mad that another "friend" of her would leave her in such a lurch that she need to take the bus 500+ miles alone.  that's some great friend....NOT!

New business cards

I'm so happy, I got mine and my mom's new business cards today and I'm please with them.  I got them from http://www.vistaprint.com believe it or not, they have some really good quality cards for very little money.  I really like the ones I had made for my mom.  I hope she likes them when she see them.  Since she's in MI and I'm in GA she's going to have to wait until after my sister comes down to visit me this weekend before she gets them.  So you lucky people get to see them before she does.  Or really parts of them.  I mixed our cards together.  Hope she can use them and that people do call her about her hats and other things she makes.

Mom's knitted hats

First off my mom crochets and knits all the time.

Last year she made E&T some hats and they are just so cute.  I "stole" T's hat because it fit me better.  Just about every time I would wear it, someone would stop me and tell me what a great hat it is.  I told my mom a few times and being my mom she when and made a few then sent them down to me...so I have some hats to sell for anyone asks if she sells them.  They are cute and look great, but I like mine better.  So if you are looking for a new winter hand made hat that's a little different for every other hat let me know, I have a few to sell. ;-)

Kylie dog and a baby cradle

Kylie is our Yorkie and she's very old, she's about 12 yr old (that's old for the breed).  Being a dog, she's always looking for that comfy place to rest for awhile and since my daughters aren't using the baby doll cradle right now, she's decided that it's the best place to lay her head....that is until my youngest decides her babies need to sleep in and kick the dog out, but until then it's all the dog's with a large doggy stuffed animal to make it even more comfy. As you can see I woke her up to take the photo.  Her look tells it all. ;-)~

Today Edd and I went to a birthday party for one of her classmates and there were lots of kiddos.  The party was between 3-5 but I think the littlest got tired from all the excitement.  I got some great shots but I love photos of sleeping babies on someone shoulder or in their parent's arms.  I got a few great ones and one that I really wanted to get but as I was about to take a pic, they put her in her carseat.    Here is my favorite of the sleeping babies.  She looks so sweet and still...oh so tired.

cold tooties in the snow

We got a bit of snow today and my 4 yr old could not wait to get out in the snow.  I kept telling her we'll go tomorrow but well if you know anything about kids that doesn't always work.  LOL  She snuck out the back door and dance around on the deck.  I did see her go out the door and I was able to take some great photos of her dancing and playing in the snow.  Her little sister had to join her too....then I notice that neither one had shoes or slippers on their feet.  Yes nothing on there feet outside in the snow.  After about 5 minutes they decided ~all on their own~ to come inside to get warm.  I wonder why???? ;-)~

This photo reminds me of my oldest daughter, Wolfie,  always ready to go!  I love the way the wolf looks a bit ragged and how it's front paws are in the shoes.  T just got them, she got them as a b-day present from her OT/PT.  I don't know if she's going to wear them....most likely not, like the rest of my kids she won't wear things on her feet unless we're out and about.  So Wolfie this one's for you.  I miss you.  oxoxox

Valentine's cards.

(My computer was down yesterday, but I did take a photo and knew what I wanted to write.)

I love making homemade things.  I think it's more personally that way and I want my kids know that if it comes from the heart it can mean more then if you brought it in the store.  So Edd and I made her St Valentine's Day cards.  And let me tell you that it was like pulling teeth at some points.  I had her put stickers, stamps and doilies on them, plus had her write the letters "H" "V" and "D" and her name on the cards.    We did it!  It took only 2 days to do 20 but, we did it.  And she was so proud of herself that she did it.  I am proud of her too.  She did a great job.  She gave them out today at the school party because there's no school on the 12th.  Here they are!

cheap chocolate

You would think with St Valentine's day just days away that I would be saving my sweet tooth for that day ~well no, I love cheap chocolate.  I know more expensive chocolate taste better but then I can't have it as much or as often.  AND it makes you jaded to the cheap stuff.  LOL  You would think that I would weigh about 300lbs with the way I eat it...or think about eating it.  Hell, I just like sweets.  I'm not to crazy about V-day but now the day after.....that's another story.  50% off Chocolate!  YAY Baby!!  This is just from a couple of days, okay maybe 3 days.  ;-)~

Coffee

Good Morning!  What we wouldn't do for our morning cup of joe!  I love to smell coffee in the morning.  It's one of my guilty pleasures.  Just the smell of it can wake me up.  Taking a deep breath brings a calmness to me, then that first spill.....ahhhh heaven.  I have one of those Keurig (keurig.com) and love it.  It not just for coffee you can make tea in it too.  Oh and you don't need to always use the k-cups you can get these little filters and use regular coffee, but the k-cups come is so many different flavors that if you like different coffees through out the day it's soooo easy to pop one in.  ;-)~

Bedtime story with Poppa

Don't you just love reading bedtime stories to your kiddos?  Even if they're not your own, it's fun to read kids bedtime stories all snuggled up on your lap, listening to every word.  Today my girls and I went to the bookstore and got some new books.  One for each girl and couple for me ~I love books!~  and since I have laryngitis I couldn't read the one Edd picked out it was their Poppa's turn.  E&T were all snuggled up on hubby's lap and it made such a wonderful picture of the 3 of them.  So out came my camera. :-)  Oh and if you can't read the title of the book it's "Fergus and the Night-Demon and Irish Ghost Story"  by Jim Murphy.  Edd picked this one out -I can't believe she would, my little scaryed cat, as you can see how intent she is listening with her hands in her mouth.  LOL

Tonight as I was sitting at the computer just a chilling, I look up and I see Edd dancing.  I grabbed my camera and shot a few of her dancing.  My flash wasn't on, so it was taken as a long exposure, but it does give you the idea of her dance.  She is taking dance and loves it.  But all 4 yr old dance beautifully and of course there is no better or prettier dancer then your own daughter.  I didn't get a great shot of her dancing and when I asked her to dance some more and of course she didn't want to.

Okay so it's late and I needed to do a photo!  Having 2 little girls in the house~ who are girly-girls~ there is always princess stuff around.  I look down and there they are princesses I took them as Edd left them but that just didn't look right.  So I line them up and voila princesses on parade.  I couldn't focus on all of them at the same time and I couldn't figure out which one I wanted to focus on so I did them all.  So even tho it's late and I didn't know what to photograph I'm posting 4 princesses pictures today. :-D

losing lottey tickets

or I could say that it helps pay for Edd to go to school.  Georgia lottery goes for the Hope scholarship and to the GA Pre-K programs.  So I really don't feel bad about buying lottery tickets and them being losers now.  LOL  Okay the real reason I took the photos is because I had a stack of old tickets just sitting on my desk and I needed something to photograph...and there they were!  No, I don't know why I still have them, but hey they made a cool photo.  Oh, one is a winner.  LOL

King and Queen buildings

For all my Atlanta friends you know what I'm talking about.  Driving down 400 and I285 you see them all the time and you figured out how they got there names.  For all others it's not hard, they look like the king and queen pieces in a chess set.  ;-)~
I've always wanted to take a photo of them.  So this morning I decided to bring my camera with me as I was going to school, thinking (hoping) that I would be able to take a southbound view of them.  Not too exciting until you realize that I was driving by myself as I took this picture in morning traffic. =:o  LOL  Okay for all of you who don't know, morning traffic on 400 doesn't move very fast most days and today was no exception.

T's birthday

Today is my youngest birthday.  WOW! where has the time gone?  Wasn't it just yesterday that I was pregnant with her?  3 years can go by so quickly when you watch your baby grow.  She was so happy today, she went to school for the first time.  Got lots of phone calls from people she loves to tell her "happy birthday!"  She learned to sing happy birthday from everyone who called her and in turn she sung it to them.  Balloons. oh we can't forget the balloons that she had fun playing with.  But the photo of the day is her sitting by  her cake as we all sing "happy birthday" to her.  Those are the best pictures!  The look of importance on the face of the person who everyone is singing to is just so wonder, and that is the photo of the day.  T and her birthday cake.
