Welcome to Ball Gound

This is probable my last photo on 372 for awhile.  (I'm no longer driving up to Jasper GA anymore, kind of a bittersweet thing but oh well, life goes on.)  Anyways it took me over a month before I even saw this sign for Ball Ground Ga, it was in the summer and it's kind of hidden on the side of the road and there are all sort of trees around it.  You can see it more in the winter when the trees are bare IF you know were to look.

Dec 8

things have been a bit odd at the house in the last week or so, that's really why I haven't been updating my blog.  Now that things have calm down a bit I think I'll be able to make sure that I update for the rest of the year.

Here is some horses as I was driving by on rt 372, I just didn't want to stop the car to take a photo of them.

Nash Rambler on Rt 372

For sale! It's a cute little car and I would love to own it, but I don't think I could afford it.  It's a Nash Rambler, you might have heard the song beep beep by The Playmates done in 1956, if not it's worth a little to it's a cute little song.

it's being to look like christmas

You know, when I take my camera with me where ever I go I see things that are  really cool and the great thing is I can take photos of it.  This is on the way to Jasper, up on a hill at a place to buy antiques and "stuff,"  too cute and since I was at a long red light I was able to roll down the window and snap a few photos.

horses

A beautiful fall day driving home on Rt 372...makes me wish I lived in the country and owned some land and horses.

country side

We all have this romantic notion of living on a farm, can't say that I don't.   I want the house in the country and all that goes with it...I just don't want the hard work that goes with it too.  I know you can't have it one without the other so right now I'll dream of that house in the country with 20 acres, a horse, a barn, maybe a cow and chickens....with someone to wake up at 4am to take care of it all.  LOL

traveling Rt 372

I love traveling Rt 372, it's so cool to see the country so close to Atlanta.  Like I stated before its a world away but oh so close.  Cows and horses along with multimillion dollar homes on the same road. LOL
I've been seeing this road sign since I started driving on this road and it always makes me think of a very special boy who I have yet to meet!  And the cows, can't have countryside without cows plus it was such a beautiful day that I had to add the fabulous colorful fall trees on the other side of the road.

making hay

As I was coming home from Jasper GA I got to see a few farmers making hay.  Got to wonder if they have hay fever while they bring it in.  LOL

hanging shoes

Why do people do this?  I think it's neat to see...out of no where...there are shoes...hanging from the lines/wires above the road.  How do the get time up there?  :-?

countryside

On the way home from Jasper, GA.  Only a few minutes from the big city but man it's really a lifestyle away.
