ladybug on window sill

I don't know how this little lady(bug) got in my home but it was really feisty and wouldn't be still for me photography it.  I chased it around the window sill, but I still got a few good shots.  Wonder how they end up in home with doors and windows closed up tight in the winter.

butterfly on the ground

I love the way this butterfly looks next to the bare ground and twigs.  So blue and black against the brown.  I got one photo in before it flew way.  What a joy it was to see as I was waiting for Edd to get off the bus.  Late summer may be hot but it's still a very special time of the year with school starting the days starting to get shorter and fall just around the corner.

thirsty bee

Went to the park with my kiddos and a water bottle, a little "sweat bee" must have been thirsty because even with the lid on it was trying to get to the water.  You would think that there was something more in there but it's nothing but water in there. (Oh and the reason it's in black and white I was messing around with my camera and shot a lot in B&W that day.)

spider web

A big spider web...don't know where the spider is.  We see it in the morning waiting for the bus, but not when the kids get off the bus.  I might have to bring my camera in the morning just to take a photo of the spider to show you how big it is.

butterfly and butterfly plant

I have a butterfly plant and the biggest reason is to attract butterflies.  This year it's gotten a lot and I love it!

I looked down from  the deck and saw this pretty black and blue butterfly...I think it got into a fight with another one because it wasn't flying very well.  The blue ones are my favorite butterflies....go figure.  LOL

Ladybugs

Ever since we moved into our house we've gotten a few ladybugs every winter.  And this year is no exception.  The only place we have them is in the master bath.  I saw them this morning as I was taking a shower.  Four little ladybugs on the window ledge, lets hope we don't have more by spring.
A little know fact is if you call an exterminator to kill, they won't it's illegal, they are what you call a "good" bug. Go figure.

car dealer's service department

I had to take one of our cars in for an oil change and I've been there many times before but today was a first.  There was ants in the waiting area.  Nothing big about them they were sugar ants and where there is sweets there are ants.  I'm glad I took my camera, I was hoping to take a photo of were the cars line up inside thru the garage doors but this was better, I got to stay warm.  Not knowing about the ants until T & I had some donuts I had to take a photo of her noshing on one.  So for today I'm putting up 2 pictures.
