angel wings on bars

Angel wings on bars.  What does this say to you?  Does it speak volumes that make your heart sing or does it make you feel sad?  every time I see this photo I have mixed emotions, but every time I see it I want to look for the angle who left them and ask why.

angels' balloons

It really sucks knowing angel babies & toddlers that are in heaven.  On this day we were asked by Bettina to send some balloons to heaven for her son, who would have been one this year.  All children need to have a party on their birthday.  And we decided to release 9 balloons for all the angel babies we knew....9 angel babies is a lot of sadness...and we wanted the angels to each have a balloon to play with in heaven on little Noah's birthday.  Happy birthday in heaven.

lil angel by my computer

My sister gave me this little angel a few years ago for Christmas.  I never ended up putting it with the other Christmas stuff.  I like being able to look at it and think of my sister. I would miss it if I put it way with all the other holiday stuff, besides it was an ornament and one of my girls broke the halo off so I can't exactly hang on the tree now can I.  So it keeps me company as I sit at my computer watching over me.

sleeping angel

Sleeping angel; that's what this photo looks like to me, a little angel that feel fell asleep and is dreaming sweet dreams.  I wanted to take a photo of him but not just the way he really sits so I added a pillow and made him look like he was sleeping.

laughing duckie

I love being outside in the spring.  I have a hard time being inside.  And looking out the window to take photos was a no go, so out I went.  I took lots of photos of the flowers in the backyard but as I was walking back up to the house.  I decided to take a few photos of Nelyn's garden, really the laughing duckie in the garden.  And it turned out to be my favorite of the day.  I just might be taking lots of photos of my backyard this year....that is if the weather co-operate.

special in the mail

I didn't post yesterday because I was not in the mood to take photos....I was a bit sad and angry at life, it happens every year on that date.

Anyways...I got something very special in the mail today.  Most days you open your mailbox and it's either bills or junk, not for me today!  My sister sent me a package ~I love getting stuff in the mail, letters, cards, packages anything other then junk or bills. ;-)~  I opened it and I swear it made my day, that I had to share.  She sent me a bracelet and a keyring with an angel on them.  She knows that I love wearing bracelets and if I'm not wearing that, then I will have a reminder with the angel on my key ring.  Thanks Lisa, I love you!

bittersweet

6 years ago it was one of the happiest day of my life.  I gave birth to my second son, a beautiful boy at 1:43 pm.  I was so happy.... A lot can change in just a few short days.  But on that day I was so very happy.

headstones on a gloomy day

I've been wanting to go to this local cemetery for awhile now.  For years I've been passing it and there is an angel you can see for the road I've always wondered about it but, lately I've wanted to photograph it in the rain.  Today was the day.  And....WOW! I would have never thought that I would see what I did. There were a lot of baby headstones.  It was so sad seeing them.  I don't get a chance to visit my son's grave, I know it's just his ashes and not him, but there are days when I would like to.  Today brought it home.  Seeing babies headstones, some in the same family.  They should have grown up together not be buried side-by-side living only a few days or months. But I guess living around the turn of the last century in a small town it was to be expected.  Still doesn't make it right.

quilt and a rose

I didn't know what to do today.  I was watching TV and saw the leather rose up against the quilt I made, yyyeeaaarrrrsss ago. If you've ever been in my home you've seen it.  I like the way the rose looks against the quilt and after I started taking the photos I noticed that an angel that my sister gave me.  If you look at the bottom right side you can see the top of it in from of the frame of my hubby and ^i^ son.

snowy garden

My youngest 2 daughters and I went outside to play on the first snowy day of the season.  Living in Georgia we don't get much snow so all you northern out there laughing...I know.  :-P

In Nelyn's little garden the statues looked so beautiful that I had to take photos of them.  And yes I did take photos of my girls, but I'm not posting them here today, today it is all about how beautiful these little statues looked in the snow, covered with bits of dirt like a little boy that should have been here on a day like today.

The weather is crisp and clear, you can hear the snow crunch under your feet.  Your feet getting colder by the minute because you forgot how cold it can be walking in the snow.  Your breath is blowing in the cold breeze as you exhale. Feeling the sting of the air as you inhale.  Such a wonderful day to feel alive.  AND that is what it looked like when I saw these statues, like they were alive or just one breath away for becoming alive.  So today you get 4 special photos of 3 very special things that remind me of my son.

Tell which one you like the best.
