homemade coffee table

Saw something this on Pinterest so I decided to do something like it myself.
bought 2 regular crates and 2 with drawers at Joann's for $11 and $15 but used 4 coupons for 50% off each (yeah me!).

painted it using an old technique using vinegar and steel wool ~let it sit for a few days before using in a glass jar.  It's not toxic, but it will smell like vinegar so I painted it outside on the deck.

 color of stain darkens as time go by, when you start it doesn't look like any thing.

 let it dry for a few hours before gluing it together.

 you're going to need weights to hold it down so it will stick together.

Gotta love pinterest and a husband who likes to try new things. He found this recipe on there and decided to make them. Oh and they were soooooo yummy!  We finished them up in less then 2 days.  I can't wait for him to find another recipe and make something yummy!
