Did a photo session and I have to say I really really love the way this photo came out.  it's one of my favorites.  Yes, I know I say that a lot.  But I really do love this, for a few reasons.  

•  she's my niece
• there is no greater joy then seeing a mother who really loves her child 
• baby kisses are a special kind of wonderful
• her hand placement
• the sweeten of the moment

long time ago

 A long time ago in a far away land this picture was taken of my oldest daughter for her passport photo.  It looks older then it really is but much time has passed since she's been this little.  She now has two little ones of her own and her second son looks like her.  Her first one looks like a copy of his father. 

6 weeks apart

Love love LOVE this photo I took of my new grandsons. They're only 6 weeks apart but you can see what a huge difference it can make in newborns.

over 20 years ago

The original photo was taken over 20 years ago.  My oldest daughter had her 2nd son and like me had a blond first then a dark head one.  I kept saying that her youngest looks like she did and since we're so far apart now I took a photo of this photo to show her.  Yep, her baby looks like her and she's very happy because her oldest is the spitting image of his poppa.

Knitwit Knits monkey hat

I did 2 photo sessions in 2 days and this little guy got to be the model for the sock monkey hat.  Knitwit Knits on Etsy does great work and the kids really didn't have a problem wearing them with the weather over 70*.

newborn hats

I made these little hats the night before.  They're newborn sizes, I used Mr Potatohead as a guide for the size, did you realize that it was the perfect size for a newborn hat?  Nope me either, until I turned it upside down and measured it.  About the size of a newborn head...score!  I've been making these silly hats because it help me to keep my wrist relaxed an flexible.  (I have a few if you want to buy one. LOL)

Baby hats, some I made, some my mom made, some my daughter made and one her boyfriend's mother made.  Just need to find babies to wear them so I can take photos of them in them.

newborn hat

I been wanting and waiting for someone to let me do some newborn photos.  And I've been looking at how much newborn hats cost...OMG those things aren't cheap.  I've been asking my mom to make me a few but well it's kind of hard to get on her case to make me one when she lives 700+ miles away from me.  So because I'm cheap and I have in the past done some crocheting I decide to get some yarn and try my hands at it again.  Not bad for not picking a crochet hook up in a ~long, long~ time.

he's escaped!

After getting his dirty diaper taken off he takes off so he doesn't have to get a clean diaper on his little tushy!  H thought it was great fun to sit in the hall and wait for his momma to come get him.  But his Nana (me) just grabbed her camera and took a few photos of him.  To get him to smile we pretended to sneeze.  Got to love the sound of baby's laughter one of the happiest sounds in the world!!!

yep my beautiful daughter and her son...her sunshine of her life, watches E&T some days and as I was sitting at the computer she was kissing her boy.  I pulled out my camera and started snapping away.  A mother and the love she has for her child is such a wonderful thing!!\

wedding dress

not the bride's but her daughter's dress. Just the back because it looks so cute with the big bows tying it together, plus she's not walking yet so it was kind of hard to get a good pix of the front of the dress.  The wedding is Sunday and not only did I make Kiki's dress, but I'll be the wedding photog too.  YAY!  And if you are wondering if I'll post any of the photos here or on my bluebox photo blog I will.  Keep posted.

Started to empty the dishwasher and who should come over and say he wanted to help.  LOL  I wonder if he'll be so helpful in a few years when he's told to empty the dishwasher.

Kristen baby

I love that I'm doing ultrasound, that means that I can take pictures of people.  Bonus is when you can take pictures of little people on the inside of their mommas.  And here is little baby...we weren't able to see what it is but that's okay in a couple of weeks we're going to take some more ultrasound pix and hopefully we'll be able to say it's a boy or a girl.  If you can't tell what is what I labeled all the important parts.

lucky baby

Love this bumper sticker!  I love the idea that this family is letting the world know that she breastfeeds. I wanted to ask where they got it so I could get one for my oldest daughter but in stead,  I reached over grabbed my camera took a few shot and didn't care when people honked at me to get moving.  Oh and if you're wondering I did breast feed all my babies. <3

pool time

Got to watch the grandbaby and yep, when you're little and everything is just too big for you, you get special treatment some times.  That's why he's in the foot wash instead of the big pool.  I didn't have to worry about him dunking his face in the water and coming up spitting and gagging thinking it was great fun and giving me a heart attack.  LOL

happy birthday to my baby girl

She turned 21 this day at 1:01pm Okinawa time.  Looking at her now she's not my baby anymore with a baby of her own, so here's a peek of her when she was a baby 20 odd years ago in the place of her birth....and no she's not a Japanese citizen, she was born on a military base to us, look at her as a baby it was hard too tell with her skin tone and dark hair until you saw her blue, blue eyes.  Can't really tell what color her eyes are in this picture, but trust me they were blue!

shhh....

baby's sleeping.  Yes, I take a lot of photos of Henry but he is just so dang cute.  And when he's sleeping it brings back memories of when my babies were at peace when they were asleep on my chest. With this pix it looks like it could have been taken at any time, it's has a kind of timeless look or at least from the last 40 years.  Ahhh, they grow so fast!  The only way to keep them so little is in pictures.
