Like I said before; I love waking up to the sun rising over the ocean.   AND it's a good thing I'm a morning person I think I woke up at 5:20am to get this show 20 minutes later...had to get my coffee before going out to the greeting the morning.

Roxy the bath guard, the grandkids where over this day and got a bit dirty playing outside.  So why not give them a bath before going home for the night, after dinner.  Roxy kept guard to  made sure they no one could sneak up on them.

I know She's too big for this baby tub but it's the only way to was make sure she gets clean when she's wearing a cast.  I have a photo of her like this from the last time she was in a cast.

yeah, they screwed up

Love the fact that we didn't know about this 9 years ago.  T made the toilet overflow by putting to much toilet paper in the toilet.  Not only did she overflow the toilet but it also leaked ~big time~ down stairs into the livingroom.  WELL we found out that it just wasn't her fault.  Some idiot screwed a screw into the pipe!  YEP someone screwed up over 9 years ago when putting in the tub, 9 years of drip, drip drip into the floorboard rotting a small bit of the floor every day.  I guess it's better to have found out this way then having a tub full of water come crashing into the living room.

gloomy day at the lake

I was suppose to have a photo shoot on this day but the weather was gloomy and rainy so we rescheduled it for another day.  I decided that I would go to the Lake Lanier and see what it looked like.  I'm glad I did!  It was so pretty, quiet and calm.  No one was there or it seemed like it, the area where was at seemed like I was on a movie set somewhere in Scotland....okay if it's in the 70* in Oct, but you get the picture with this photo.  Mystical.

Rainy day at the cider mill

The weather was good ~for the ducks~ but it did hold off raining while we where there to enjoy the donuts and cider at Franklin Cider Mill The kids had a great time and the cider was so yummy....wish there was a good cider mill around me.  Oh well I guess this is another reason to visit family in the north.

water marker well be low normal

We went to a different lake and you really can tell that it hasn't rained in a few days weeks with this water marker showing the water line below...well below...what is was normal. We all had a good time, I just kept looking at the water marker and thinking if the water was suppose to X be we'd be well over our heads in the water.  Or as we where sitting on the beach ~where I took this photo~ we would have been in the water not yards for the lake.  :-/

Rocks on the beach

Got to love the beach, even a beach on a lake.  We went to the lake and as I was hanging out at the water's edge I look to my left and see this really pretty rock grouping.  I wonder what child did this...or even a person young at heart or with a playful side.

three geese in a row

After coming back from the mountains we went to the lake.  Instead of photos of the girls frolicking in the watch it's a photo of  Canada geese taking a break in the water.  such a peaceful thing to watch for a minute until you turn back and see your kiddos playing in the water having fun.

family tootsies

So for the last few day we were hanging out with the family in TN, near Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg TN.  We had a great time.  Didn't do much but we did have fun just hanging with the fam.  I love this photo of me, 3 of my sisters, 2 of my nieces and 2 of my daughters tootsies.  What a funny family photo.  LOL  We went looking for a waterfall but couldn't find parking so we just stopped at the river to cool our feet and take a break from driving.   It is really pretty country up there.

is that phone water proof?

REALLY lady?  do you really need to be on the phone in the lake.  NOT at the lake but IN the lake.  Why?  I'm pretty sure that most phones aren't covered if they get wet and why the hell are you on the phone in the water?  Yes, I know it's hot out, yes I understand that it's your phone and you pay for it, but really?  LOL  And I heard part of your conversation and it really didn't sound all that dire.  But hey who am I, but some crazy lady with a camera sitting at the water's edge taking a photo of another crazy lady on the phone in the lake.  crazy!

pool floaties

After we got back from the lake I just took the floaties and put them on the back deck...and left them there.  yep I left them there for a few days because I just didn't want to take them down the stairs to the pool.

lake mermaid

A little mermaid we met at the lake.  I think that's what all kids turn into when they get near a large body of water.  It was so fun watching her swim and having her parents tell her that she was going out to far...I guess most kids get told that over and over again because I was doing the same with my little ones.

Why didn't I hear about this place a couple/three years ago?  It's a great place E&T loved it!  And the best part is IT...WAS...ONLY...A...BUCK!!! to get in for each person. For that you can stay for 20 minutes or 6 hours.  We're diffidently going back there!!  This photo isn't one of my girls it's just a little girl playing hide and seek with my kiddos....do you think she's doing a good job of hiding?  LOL

swim time

one of the best things in the summer is being able to go swimming and it's even better when you have a pool in the backyard.  Oh the joys of summer!  I swear the girls would be there every day if I let them.  Swim time is the best time on a hot hot summer day.

Alpharetta fountain

Coming home from the clinic after driving for almost an hour I'm stopped at a light in downtown Alpharetta I look to my left and see the fountain. It makes me take a deep breath, think how nice it would be to be sitting by the fountain listening the water, than I pull my camera out before the light turns green.  It's really is nice place to stop and relax....that is IF you're not in traffic and the traffic isn't too busy, like a early weekend morning.
