sitting pretty?

Hanging at a park in Harrisburg VA waiting on poppa to get there.  Not sure what this little girl is doing, pouting or playing, but I love the way she's sitting.  I swear as an adult if I sat like that I would need a crane to get me up and a few x-rays to see if I broke any bones.  LOL

Pretty lil skull & cross bones

my beautiful granddaughter and her parents came over for dinner.  One of the best thing about having a son who is a chef is that he likes to cook.  So guess who made dinner?   But the best thing of the night was that lil R came over to see us.  Would you believe she was all smiles while she was here?  Well besides a few photos of her being serious when she realized I was taking her photo.   But I love this one.  I love the way she's looking right into the camera with her beautiful big eyes, here they look brown but I swear there is some green in them too.

Well he finally figured it out and realized that he could climb up ~and down~ from the fireplace hearth.  Happy, happy, joy, joy.  Here's the boy doing a little dance before his momma and/or poppa could get to him and take him down, again and again and again.

I bought some cupcakes on sale and as we were eating them I decided ~or maybe it was lil H who decided~ that he need some too.  Gave him a bite or two of mine.  No question about it, he's going to dive right into his 1st year birthday cake with all the gusto of kid with candy.  Can you not see the "yum sugar!" look in he's eyes as he's "eating" his piece of the cupcake?

my momma

after learning how to walk away from his momma, he how can't handle her walking away from him.  LOL  Every time she stood up, he would walk towards her and grab his momma's leg as if to say "NO don't go!"  even tho they spend almost 24/7 together.  The joys of an almost 1 year old.

naptime for Henry

I needed to go up and see my lovely daughter and we ended up going to the grocery store.  We are just about there and Henry fell asleep, so we decided for her to just go into the store and H and I hang out in the car.  Guess he was tired he slept the whole time she was in there plus another stop and the drive home.  Long car nap for such a tired little boy!

lil lady L!

I did a photo session on this day.  The lil lady didn't really want to smile but we did get a few.  This one happens to be my favorite though, she is showing her personally in all it's glory a little shy, a bit reserved with an attitude of a 2 year old.  You can just see the look of "ahhh, ya I see you and you can't make me smile."  It was fun and got lots of great photos.

There are times when I love taking my camera with me everywhere.  I was pulling out of the post office and saw this pulling out too.  Love the big four wheeler and the little trike bike, I guess when mommy/daddy are off on their big bike the little one will be riding on theirs too.

don't you love the way toddlers wear sun glasses?  on, off, on again...can't decide what they want.  LOL  It's so cute, heck she's such a cutie no matter if she wearing sun glasses or not.
