Last day of being 5

Last day of being 5.  A lot has happened in this year.  Lets hope the next one is even better! Her Nana and Grandpa sent her flowers because hey what girl doesn't like getting flowers for her birthday?  And they are her favorite colors purple with a bit of pink.

Rose hips

I was doing a photo session and I had to stop and take a few photos of this little rose hips.  I will honestly tell you that i didn't know that that is what they were called.  Someone had to tell me and then I went and looked to get more pictures of them.  If you don't prune your roses this is what happens.  All I knew at the time was that I thought they were really cool looking and wanted to take a few photos of them.

Happy anniversary!!!

That's right it's our anniversary.  25 years  of wedding bliss....okay maybe not bliss we've had our ups and down but this day was a great day.  He surprised me with roses and champagne!I squealed like a girl when I saw him getting out of his car with them.  Yep, I'm a happy girl, I got roses and champagne from my anniversary!!

where the wild things grow

I planted these flowers last year, from seeds, but they really didn't grow.  And this year my little wild flower garden is growing.  Aren't they pretty?  I believe they're black eyed susans...please correct me if I'm wrong. ;-)

yellow daisies

As I was waiting for my youngest daughter to get home from school I thought I'd enjoy the weather and wait outside.  I look to my left and smile, got up and when and got my camera.  I planted flowers and I am happy to say that I like the way it looks.  In a few weeks the daisies will fill out and it will look even better.  Ahhhh, yes I like flowers in the spring time.

forsythia in a fence

I did a photo session and we went for a walk in the downtown area to take photos up a great brick wall.  After we parked the cars I saw this flowers ~I believe they're forsythia~ and they just looked so beautiful coming through the fence that I had to take a picture of them.  Oh spring may be in the air, it just doesn't feel like it.

So the day before I got new flowers and my kiddos do love to pick them.  And since Edd planted some flowers the day before she decided to pick some and put them in cups.  This time she got fancy and put some in a wine glass.  I'm very happy it didn't fall over the edge.  But, you have to admit it they do look pretty in a wine glass.

When out and got new flowers.  the best thing is I didn't have to plant them, Edd did.  Okay so it wasn't where I wanted to plant them but they're planted and not sitting on the deck in a plastic bag.  LOL

I'm not sure what type of flowers they are, but I know that they're pretty.  If you know, let me know.  As I was walking to the bus stop this afternoon I noticed them by a mailbox.  Had to stop and take a photo of them on the way home.

fake flowers?

Our HOA is a bunch of crazy f*ing people.  A committee of 4 went around the neighborhood and pings just about every house in the subdivision.  We got hit on a few things but the craziest is my "fake" flowers in a planter.  I guess they thought they were fake because they weren't dead.  LOL

One of my favorite bushes, a butterfly plant.  I love the way they look and how butterflies and hummingbirds will come to it, this plant is by my backdoor.

I haven't done much of taking photos in the last few days....really I HAVE taken photos but I haven't posted them.  I decide to do 2 today.  One from yesterday when my daughter fell asleep on my mom's lap after a busy day.  Today after Edd's dance recital and getting flowers from Nana for dancing so well.  :-)

my front garden

I love spring, I love flowers and I love watching my flowers bloom.  Even though it was a cold day out the sun was shinning and my flowers in my front garden were so pretty.  I'm even including a close up of my bleeding hearts, last year they didn't get this pretty.

my roses

I have four rose bushes and for the first time the are all blooming or going to be blooming at the same time.  This makes me happy.  So today I have 4 photos of my roses.  a yellow, a 2 tone red & white, and 2 that are in bud form a peach and pinky color one.

quilt and a rose

I didn't know what to do today.  I was watching TV and saw the leather rose up against the quilt I made, yyyeeaaarrrrsss ago. If you've ever been in my home you've seen it.  I like the way the rose looks against the quilt and after I started taking the photos I noticed that an angel that my sister gave me.  If you look at the bottom right side you can see the top of it in from of the frame of my hubby and ^i^ son.

view from my back window

As I sit at my computer the only color out by back window is this little blue thing, I'm pretty sure that's from my flowers that I brought a few weeks ago. You might remember that I posted about them Feb 1 flowers.  Looks like the blues ones are still looking very vibrant a month out.  Gray and brown are the only colors that I see...all but that bright blue flower.
Today, I don't think that old saying "March coming in like a lion and going out like a lamb" is quite true, cold and blustery is the same as it was last week.

It's been cold lately and I wanted something to remind me that spring is just around the corner.  Something colorful something sunny.  And these flowers where it.  Really flowers, daisies with dye in them to make them fun, colorful and sunny.  Here's to spring!
