another morning walk on the beach

Yes, this week is all about the beach and how beautiful it is to be able to wake up and go for a walk as the sun comes up.  Good thing I'm a morning person.

walking on the beach

Love, love, love the way this photo turned out.  love the way the being of the foot prints have been washed away, how it looks like some stopped carrying someone else....maybe I'm reading more into this but I love the symbolism of it on so many levels.  I think I'm going to blow it up and hang it on the wall.

waves where high

Mid morning walk on the beach.  The waves where high and so was the wind.  but all wouldn't change the way the week started.

make sure it fits
measure ribbon to get just the right length

Author's tea

At my daughter's class all the kids in first grade wrote books and we were so lucky to have them read to us this day.  What a nice way to spend the morning listening to them read their books to us.  Here is my daughter reading her book to us.

St Bartholomew in Baltimore

As I was driving to downtown Baltimore I saw this cute little church, St Bartholomew, and decided to stop and take a few photos on the way home.  It's a very pretty church built in 1872 when Baltimore was a young city.

Racking the mead into another bottle,  about another month before putting it in small bottles....THAN it's drinkable about a month after that.  :-)

My beautiful Edd.  I made her dress and wanted to take photos of her in it.  She was being silly until I did a portrait of her.  Isn't she beautiful?

Just a bird on a branch hanging out in from of the house.  I swear that bird is there every day.

All done!  and it took only 5 days from start to finish to get it done.  Yay me!  I did most of the work myself, I did have a bit of help with cutting the tiles but I did most of the work!

Tile time

Tile time, putting down the tiles.

May 18

It was taking forever for me to remove the tiles from the bathroom floor....light bulb get a power tool, a mini jackhammer!  What a fun fun tool!  Made the tiles come up like it was nothing.  Took me around 30 minutes to get them up with this little baby!  Big mess but worth it in the end!
