going to make this into Valentine's Day cards

I'm going to make these photos of my girls into Valentine's Day cards.  Where the pencil is is where we're going to put a sucker stick. Wish I could say that I thought of this idea but I saw it a few years ago when someone else did it with their kids. Cool idea tho.

Last day of being 5

Last day of being 5.  A lot has happened in this year.  Lets hope the next one is even better! Her Nana and Grandpa sent her flowers because hey what girl doesn't like getting flowers for her birthday?  And they are her favorite colors purple with a bit of pink.

Toad in the hole it's what's for breakfast.  It's the new thing at our house and Edd loves making and eating them.  Each time we make one it's done with a different cookie cutter.

Not sure what this is but hey, new legos are always fun!  T moved up from Duplos to Legos at Christmas and she's loving them.  No more tower-powers but loads of fun.  Only wish they made more girly Legos.

ready to donate!

So they did it, they got their hair cut and it looks super cute.  T wanted her's cut too so after a bit of running around we went and got it done. 

The back story is I have a friend on facebook and her best friend's daughter has brain cancer, I was looking at her pictures on her page prayers for caryn and Edd asked why she didn't have any hair.  I told her and she said she wanted to cut her hair and give it to her.  Awww.....how sweet, this was a few months ago and she's been talking about it since.  She wants to cut her hair and give it to her.  I told her that Caryn already got a wig.  But she wouldn't give up so we went to the hair salon and got it cut.

 Edd got about 10-11 inches to give and because Edd was doing it T had wanted to donate hers too.  She was able to get 9 inches.  As you can see Edd has so much hair than T, it looks like Edd's hair looks 4 times more than T's but that doesn't matter because they both feel good about donating.  I'm so proud of them.  Oh and this isn't Edd's first time donating her hair, she's done it before.

I think I'll send it to Pantene.

donating her hair again

Edd came to me after her bath and told me she wanted to get her hair cut and donate it so someone could have her hair who has cancer and lost their hair to Chemo.  She because she doesn't like combing/brushing it anymore. She's donating it again. It's too pretty not to have it on someone's head. Here she is before we got it cut.

ladybug on window sill

I don't know how this little lady(bug) got in my home but it was really feisty and wouldn't be still for me photography it.  I chased it around the window sill, but I still got a few good shots.  Wonder how they end up in home with doors and windows closed up tight in the winter.

TV watching blanket nests

Since there really isn't a place to sit in the living room to lounge about and watch TV, I let the girls bring in their blankets.  On this day they decided to make little nests, too cute.  Love how much bigger T's is over Edd's.

over 20 years ago

The original photo was taken over 20 years ago.  My oldest daughter had her 2nd son and like me had a blond first then a dark head one.  I kept saying that her youngest looks like she did and since we're so far apart now I took a photo of this photo to show her.  Yep, her baby looks like her and she's very happy because her oldest is the spitting image of his poppa.

Gotta love pinterest and a husband who likes to try new things. He found this recipe on there and decided to make them. Oh and they were soooooo yummy!  We finished them up in less then 2 days.  I can't wait for him to find another recipe and make something yummy!

too many donuts

 We went and brought some donuts, I told each girl that since there were a dozen we could each get 4.  T really too me serious about it and took to taking a few bites out of all of hers as soon as we got home.  Next time I'm going to be more clear and tell her that would be we can each get up to 4 as long as we don't eat them all in one sitting.  LOL
